CONSUMER DIRECTED PERSONAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

CDPAP is an option to traditional home care. With this program your loved one can choose his or her own caregiver who can be a family member (who can reside in the same home) or a trusted friend. Caregiver does not need to be licensed or certified to be a personal assistant, however, must be legally allowed to work.

The caregiver is not required to have training. The care is monitored and run by the patient. This program promotes independence, quality of care (who better than a loved one who knows his/her family member’s needs) and, most importantly, peace of mind.

CDPAP is also a Medicaid-administered program.
